SARE partnered and presented at the 2023 Black Loam Conference on the programs and grant opportunities available for farmers, growers and producers.

As a follow-iup and to provide assistance, Lais McCartney with North Central SARE will host monthly Zoom meetings to for anyone interested to learn more about SARE grants opportunites, to answer questions about the different SARE grants available, and how to apply!

 These monthly meetings are open for anyone to call in or join online.

Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training

More Trainings in 2024!

INFMCP will have in – person and virtual trainings starting in January, 2024.

Produce Safety Alliance Grower (PSGA) training is for Indiana fruit and vegetable growers, specifically farmers market vendors and market managers interested in learning more about produce safety.  Participants will learn about the Food Safety Modernization Act (FISMA), Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and co-management of natural resources and food safety. 

The cost of this training is covered by the Indiana Farmers Market Community of Practice for Indiana farmers through an Indiana Department of Health, Food Safety Division Grant.   

Registration is required.
