The Indiana Farmers Market Community of Practice is hosting Produce Safety Alliance Grower Trainings (PSAG) on March 19, 2024 with the Safe Produce Indiana Training Team in Goshen, IN at the Elkarht County Community Center (ECCC) on the Elkhart County Fairgrouds (17746 Co Rd. 34, Goshen, IN) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (ET). Lunch will be provided.
PSAG training is for Indiana fruit and vegetable growers, specifically, farmers market vendors interested in learning about produce safety. Market Managers are welcome to attend. Topics covered include the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety.
The cost of this training is covered by the Indiana Farmers Market Community of Practice with a grant from the Indiana Dept. of Health, Food Safety Division.
